1 1st Preference Aagam Ashish Shah 25BCE1169 2nd Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-04 I want to join MIC because I enjoy learning by working on real ideas and collaborating with people who share similar interests. I believe being part of a community where people constantly build, innovate, and exchange ideas is one of the best ways to grow. I've always been looking for opportunities to try something new, step out of my zone, and improve my problem solving and teamwork skills. I think MIC would give me that environment through its events, projects, and the people I'd get to work with. Not joining just to be a member of another club. I genuinely want to learn, contribute wherever I can, and make the most of the opportunities and experiences that MIC has to offer. I'm interested in joining the Entrepreneurship department because I enjoy thinking about problems and exploring ways to solve them. Over the past year, I've become more curious about how ideas turn into real products and businesses, and I want to learn that process and be around people who have similar interests. I also enjoy meeting new people, discussing ideas, and working in teams. I believe this department will give me opportunities to learn through experiences, contribute to meaningful initiatives, and interact with people who challenge me to think differently. At the same time, I'd love to contribute my own ideas and experiences wherever I can. Yes, I participated in a Pitch-a-thon event last year, where each team presented their startup idea to the audience. Instead of a traditional judging panel, the audience acted as "sharks" and invested virtual money into the ideas they found most promising. It was my first experience pitching an idea in front of a crowd, and I really enjoyed it. I realized that along with a good idea, you also need to communicate it clearly and convince people why it's worth believing in. The experience sparked my interest in entrepreneurship even more, and since then I've been looking for more opportunities to learn and improve. I think being a part of the Entrepreneurship department will help me learn beyond what a classroom can offer. I'll get the chance to interact with people who have different ideas and experiences, and understand how startups and businesses actually grow. I'm also looking to connect with people who are interested in building products and startups. Since I'm working on my own idea, I'd love to meet like minded people who I can collaborate with, learn from, and maybe even build something together. Most importantly, I want to be in an environment where I can keep learning, contribute where I can, and be around people with the same mindset. One example that comes to mind is Kodak. I know it wasn't just a startup but a giant company, but they messed up during making an important decision, which eventually led to it's collapse. What's interesting is that Kodak actually developed one of the first digital cameras, but the company chose not to focus on it because it feared it would hurt its existing film business. By the time it decided to embrace digital photography, competitors had already taken the lead. If I were in that position, I would have invested in digital technology much earlier instead of trying to protect the old business. I believe adapting to changing customer needs is more important than holding on to what's currently successful. Even if it meant disrupting my own product, I'd rather lead that change than let someone else do it. Also, as we move forward, there will be changes in preferences and advancements in technology, it's in our hands if we want to go ahead with it together, or stay where we are. I believe I can contribute by bringing enthusiasm, curiosity, and a willingness to take initiative. I've had the opportunity to host startup related events and interact with founders, speakers, and students, which has helped me become comfortable communicating with people and coordinating events. I'm also looking to connect with people who are interested in building products and startups. Since I'm working on my own idea, I'd love to meet like minded people who I can collaborate with, learn from, and maybe even build something together. Most importantly, I want to be someone who actively contributes to the community whether that's helping organize events, sharing ideas, brainstorming, or simply creating an environment where people feel comfortable learning from each other. Yes, I agree Yes, I agree Yes, I agree I'd probably be Aman Gupta. What I like about him is that he understands not just the product, but also the brand and the people behind it. He knows how important marketing, storytelling, and building a community are for a startup. I also like that he's approachable and practical. He feels like a big brother, asks tough questions when needed but also encourages founders instead of just pointing out flaws. If I ever become an investor, I'd want to support founders in a similar way, by helping them build better products and stronger brands, not just by providing funding.
2 1st Preference Aayush Ganesh 25BCE1883 2nd Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-12 MIC is one of THE clubs in VIT, and I would definitely like to be a part of one of the most prestigious, highly regarded clubs. I am Aayush Ganesh, currently in my second year, aspiring to be better every day. Entrepreneurship struck me as an important skill that everybody must learn in life, and it intrigues me. I hope I pitched it right?? Thank you for the opportunity, and excited to meet you guys in the interview round! Okay, hear me out. So the only reason I have even thought about this is that I hate having to cut my nails for around 15 minutes, and sometimes we cut them so deep that they burn each time something hot or spicy touches them. What if we build a nail trimmer where I connect 5 clippers to a single actuator, and each clipper is adjustable according to the finger length and width of your hand? So that once adjusted for the first time, each time we clip our nails, it will take a maximum of 15 seconds. I am aware that this might be overkill, but what's the limit to innovation? I have noticed that residents in my community rely a lot on grocery delivery apps. There is a small grocery store inside the community, but it cannot serve all the residents. Sometimes, the delivery partner might be late due to harsh weather and other unexpected delays. What I had thought was a dedicated grocery delivery system within the community, with a warehouse in it and an app for residents to place orders. Part-time students or residents can deliver orders to apartments and receive incentives, enabling faster, reliable, and community-driven grocery delivery. No Moderate — I understand the basics
3 1st Preference Adarsh Raj 26BDS1293 1st Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-12 I want to join MIC because of its reputation for fostering innovation and building a strong community. I want to learn more about technology and develop my enterpreneurship passion. I want to know things are build up from scratch. Yeah I have one startup on which I am currently working. I have idea of developing platform where anyone can book tourist guide within 15-20 minutes to make their journey more easier and memorable. In today's India as we all know that tourism is expanding very rapidly. But imagine yourself going to a place where you are don't aware of geniune tourist places and you also don't understand the local language, so in this case your journey will become tougher . And the local guide which are available they charge arbitrary. So I have solution for this , I want to develop a platform where any tourist visiting a place will be able to book a verified local tour guide who will speak his language and will be aware of the city's culture and tourist places. This will boost the Indian tourism. No Moderate — I understand the basics
4 1st Preference Advay Tyagi 25BCE5574 2nd Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-05 I want to join MIC because it is a well know club in VIT - Chennai and I am excited for the opportunity that will help me learn and explore entrepreneurship I am interested in entrepreneurship because goal is to built my own business and be self-employed. I want to learn the skills required to create value, lead a team and turn ideas into successful ventures. I do not have any prior experience with entrepreneurship but I am curious and excited to learn. Being a part of the entrepreneurship department will help me develop skills and mindset I need to face the real-world challenges. It will also help me network with like-minded and build a community. A startup idea that I believed had a great potential but failed is MoviePass. It was a very good idea but the execution was not handled properly. Some changes I would have made are to increase the cost of the subscription and limiting the number of movies a user can see in a month. I will contribute by being an active member of the community, participating in events and collaborating with others. I believe this will not only help me grow but I believe my enthusiasm and friendly nature would make me a fun and supportive addition to the community. Yes, I agree Yes, I agree Yes, I agree I would choose Piyush Bansal because I admire his calm and practical approach. He listens carefully to entrepreneurs, asks thoughtful questions, and explains his investment decisions with clear business reasoning. I appreciate the way he gives constructive feedback while remaining respectful, and that is a quality I would like to develop as an entrepreneur.
5 1st Preference Akhil Puri 26BRS1158 1st Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-06 MIC..Being one of the largest tech clubs. It will be a pleasure to join and work with some greapt people...Make connections. And the main point. Interest and curiousness to learn. Opportunities and for fun too. MIC is the best ig. Not yet but I find many problems in our campus as well as in the outer world(outside campus) and I would love to work on them and create something very helpful and special. Messes cook in bulk and throw away massive uneaten food at closing time. Meanwhile just some hours later students studying late are starving and maybe spend too much money on snacks and food. A hyper lical campus food surplus and late night micro bites app can definetly help. No Moderate — I understand the basics
6 1st Preference Anjali Rose Ajith 26BLC1168 1st Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-04 Want to connect with like minded ppl No.. hence want to join this dept in the club My grandparents live in a neighborhood where many elderly people have been left behind as their families migrated abroad.so they dont have ppl around them to talk to other than themselves and my parents are only free to contact them after their work. so am i.. like i can only contact them once classes and stuff are over sometimes it becomes to late and once we are free to talk to them they are already asleep .so an app could be made for ppl taking into the fact that old ppl are going to use it ..its concept would be like a matrimonial website but for old ppl to make friends . 7 7 1st Preference Archisman Jha 26BCE5223 1st Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-12 I would like to join MIC because I wanted to join such a club which would help me elevate my skills in both core and non core subjects. According to me this is the best platform in which I could achieve this seamlessly. Another reason could be as the BRAND value of Microsoft of is to huge. Being the part of a big brand/community boosts self esteem in one individual. Yea I run my own startup for about a year and half in which I was the one who was managing logistics to marketing to distribution . This has made me understand the idea of how a startup works and the challenges that one faces in that time period/phase. I would say an app which would help the students by providing them the time taken from one place to another in different ways around the campus( each having it different ETA.) This could be helpful for students to move from one Academic block to another in the fastest and easiest route, and even finding which route has congestion while being few minutes away from that location Yes To be honest I was the one who was managing everything from business to marketing to logistics. It was both fun and frustrating as I kept getting the calls from customers/ retailers which definitely drained my energy and sometimes even affected with my academics. But still I did learn a lot about how to have effective communication skills and how to present your product to the customers/ seller in a appealing way without being "EXTRA" in anything whether it be trying to oversell your product Moderate — I understand the basics
8 1st Preference Arna Panda 25BLC1312 2nd Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-08 I’ve been getting more interested in entrepreneurship through my work in E-Cell, and I’d like to explore that interest beyond just one club. I enjoy being around ideas, figuring out whether they can actually work, and understanding how people turn them into something real. One of the main reasons I’m interested in MIC’s Entrepreneurship department is for the exposure, the opportunity to meet people , build a strong network within and outside the college, and learn from people who have different experiences in entrepreneurship and innovation. Since I'm gonna be doing an MBA after B.tech, I feel this is a very appropriate department for me to join. I’ve thought about having a proper pharmacy service on college campuses, especially for residential colleges. The idea is to have a pharmacy that works alongside the existing infirmary and gives students easier access to medicines and basic healthcare products. It could also have an option to order medicines and get them delivered within campus. I’d initially focus on colleges where students don’t have easy access to a pharmacy nearby. I’ve thought about setting up a proper pharmacy store on campus, integrated with the existing infirmary. Our college has got the most generic medicines so I feel like a store with specific medicines would be a huge help. The idea would be to have a well-stocked, professionally managed pharmacy on campus where students can conveniently access commonly needed healthcare products. It could work alongside the infirmary to make healthcare more accessible to students. Yes As Lead of Finance and Sponsorships, I’ve gained experience in finance, outreach, sponsorships, and networking. I’ve learned how to approach companies professionally and communicate with founders. Apart from E-Cell, I’m part of the Sales and Marketing team at Admrls and CrftHQ, where I’ve learned to understand what companies need and build pitches around their requirements. This has helped me understand the importance of execution, market understanding, and networking in startups. Beginner — I'm learning
9 1st Preference Asvanthica Kanagaraj 26BEL1134 1st Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-11 I want to join MIC because it seems like an environment where technology, ideas, and people come together to actually create things rather than staying at the discussion stage. I'm particularly drawn to opportunities where I can work with people from different interests, challenge ideas, and learn by being involved in real projects and initiatives. My experiences with MUN and projects like LifeLanes have made me enjoy problem-solving, collaboration, and exploring how ideas can be turned into something practical. I think MIC would give me the opportunity to build on that while also exposing me to areas outside what I usually explore. Problem: Ambulances lose critical time in traffic because conventional traffic signals don't prioritise emergency vehicles effectively. Solution: LifeLanes uses GPS and IoT-based communication to detect approaching ambulances and dynamically prioritise their route through traffic signals, reducing unnecessary delays. Target Market: Hospitals, ambulance networks, and urban traffic authorities looking to improve emergency response times. Problem: Students with complementary skills often struggle to find the right people for projects, competitions, and ideas. I've personally faced this while trying to build teams. Solution: A campus platform that matches students based on their skills, interests, and project requirements. Impact: It could make collaboration easier, encourage interdisciplinary teams, and help more student ideas actually get built. No I haven't been part of a formal startup or incubator yet, but I have worked on LifeLanes, a project focused on reducing ambulance delays using GPS, IoT, and traffic-signal prioritisation. I've also participated in competitions where we had to develop, present, and refine the idea based on feedback. Understanding the problem, validating assumptions, communicating the idea clearly, and continuously improving the solution are equally important as having strong concept. As a first-year student, I want to explore areas like AI/ML, web development, and emerging technologies while learning from experienced seniors and working with like-minded people. I’m also excited about participating in hackathons and contributing to innovative projects. I believe MIC would help me grow both technically and as a team player, while giving me the opportunity to build, experiment, and learn beyond the classroom. an ai voice guided walking stick for the blind people. nil No Beginner — I'm learning
11 1st Preference Barasara Nishit Narendrabhai 26BRS1219 1st Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-12 I think oining this club will help me build real network, find business partners, test my ideas with more people, and gain hands on startup experience. I have a startup idea but i cannot disclose it in this message or publicaly other wise it will get stolen as one of my idea was patented by someone else when i shared my to him , but i can tell you that it is on reneuable energy and other is based on some autonomous drone system. I have noticed that in our campus , as freshers have to walk around daily 12 km for classes from hostel . This can be solved by giving students a small electric kick scotter which small kids use but it will be for adult students and will be electric on rent at less price. No Beginner — I'm learning
12 1st Preference Devansh Krishna 26BCE1778 1st Year In-progress Not Submitted As a flagship technical and innovation club at VIT Chennai, MIC provides the ideal platform to collaborate with driven peers, work on real-world projects, and build impactful technical solutions. I want to contribute my skills to the club’s technical and entrepreneurial initiatives while learning from senior members, growing as a developer, a computer science student, and as a future engineer and entrepreneur. PS. Due to my limited knowledge of real-world programming, I chose to join the entrepreneurial department, allowing me to hone my programming skills while gaining practical experience.

15 1st Preference Drishti Rai 26BDS1087 1st Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-07 I want to Join MIC because i want to know more about innovation. I am really passionate about Entrepreneurship and always dreamt to do something of my own. This would provide me with an opportunity to learn about the startup ecosystem and more areas of it. I look forward to Learn, grow and Build with MIC! I am not working on anything but i have an idea for a website that organises books based on user's interests. The platform would categorise and recommend books according to different genres, making it easier for people to discover relevant books. The goal is to bring a wide range of books together in one place and simplify the process of finding what to read next A problem that i identified in my community is that students often find it difficult to discover books that match their interests or academic needs. Book recommendations are scattered across different websites and platforms. A solution to this is exactly what i mentioned in the previous question, a website that categorises books based on user's interests and goals. The platform could include ratings , reviews and personalised suggestions to help users choose the right books more easily. Yes I am a volunteer in solve arena (a jee problem solving platform) My roles are of post designer and podcast host. I learned a lot about designs, communications ,the struggles of a startup initially and also how to work as a team. Beginner — I'm learning
16 1st Preference F IRFAN 26BCE5029 1st Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-09 I want to join MIC because I see it as a platform to learn, build, and work with like-minded people. As a CSE student, I want to explore both technology and innovation beyond the classroom, take part in real-world projects, and develop my problem-solving and teamwork skills while contributing my own ideas to the club. I have an idea for a personalized movie-booking assistant. Instead of manually searching through theatres and show timings, users could simply tell the app what movie they want to watch and their preferences. The app would compare available options based on location, timing, budget and previous choices, recommend the best option, and simplify the booking process. Over time, it could learn the user's preferences and make more personalized recommendations. A problem I notice among college students is that many struggle to keep track of their daily spending, especially when small expenses add up over time. I would build a simple platform that helps students track their spending, set monthly limits, and understand where their money is going, making financial management easier from an early stage. No Moderate — I understand the basics
17 1st Preference Fahaam Ahmed 26BCE5062 1st Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-12 i want to join MIC because it is known to be one of the most popular clubs and will give me more practical experience , learn and develop skills by working on real world projects. im exploring an idea around gamifying higher level education (10th grade and above). The goal is to make learning more engaging through game-like elements such as challenges, progression, rewards, interesting story lines and competition while still keeping the focus on meaningful learning and academic growth. A real world problem i have identified in my campus is the hard water which could potentially be bad for long term use . I would explore cost effective solution such as installing centralised or atleast individual attachments which would filter the calcium deposits .The aim is to make water more safe and comfortable for students to use and make their cleanliness practices seemless. Yes i have worked as a sales representative intern at Dharti Wellness which is a cosmetic brand and have gained hands on experience about how sales work , worked with customers etc . I have even converted a few sales in the later days of my internship .I have Learnt how to negotiate with customers as well. Done a lot of networking met new people . Overall this experience has been a great learning for me and i wish to continue my learning journey and grab all the opportunities coming my way. Beginner — I'm learning
18 1st Preference Fidel Fieo A 26BCE1762 1st Year In-progress Not Submitted I always been keen on developing stuff as I have already participated in a few tech events during my 9th and 10th standard. The Innovative ideas and projects at the event piqued my interest on innovation and I would like to have this opportunity.
19 1st Preference Gouthamkrishna S V 25BCE5410 2nd Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-11 Why do I wanna join MIC? Who wouldn't want to? Gotta be an idiot to miss out. Have thought about basically a platform that connects college students with local businesses and startups for short-term projects, internships and freelance work. It helps students gain real-world experience while giving small businesses access to affordable talent. Many college students don't know where to find internships or part-time opportunities. I would create a platform where students can easily find nearby opportunities and apply for them. Yes I helped with coming up with ideas and planning for an Instagram page which I made called @beyondsingularities, I learned how to work with an audience, understand problems and turn an idea into something useful and something that helps in virality. I also had a POD shop called Reverie, where I learned about market research, finding a target audience, creating websites and online marketing. It taught me how to turn an idea into a real business and understand what actually attracts customers. Moderate — I understand the basics
20 1st Preference Hanika 25BCE5376 2nd Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-12 I would like to join the Microsoft Innovation Club because I see it as an opportunity to put my entrepreneurial mindset into something meaningful while gaining practical experience. I would like to explore the possibility of starting a venture of my own someday, and I believe that being part of this club would help me gain the knowledge, exposure, and experience needed to take that step. I have also heard that the club has strong and supportive seniors and genuinely focuses on sharing knowledge and encouraging members to learn. This learning environment is what attracts me the most. Most students (including me) pick a career or major based on guesswork, family opinions, YouTube videos and whatever sounds impressive. This is not the correct way to make a decision that will stay with you throughout life. The problem isn't lack of information, it's lack of felt experience. I propose an AI-powered simulator that lets you "live" a few days as a professional — a doctor, lawyer, or founder — through realistic decisions and consequences, so you actually feel the pressure and reality of the job, not just read about it. Elderly people living alone often go unchecked for days if something happens to them. I witnessed this issue in my society with an elder man whose kids lived out-of-country. I propose an idea that fixes this with one daily action: they tap "I'm Okay" or answer a scheduled call. If they miss it, family or nearby volunteers get an instant alert to check in. It's built to be simple i.e. no smartphone skills needed, so it actually works for the people who need it most. No No, I haven’t been part of a startup, incubator, or entrepreneurship cell yet. However, I have an entrepreneural mindset and would like to pursue a venture of my own someday. I am good at identifying problems, thinking of solutions, and exploring how ideas can become something meaningful. I’m looking for opportunities like this to gain practical experience, learn from others, and develop the skills needed to eventually build something of my own. Beginner — I'm learning
21 1st Preference Hariharan D 25BEC1536 2nd Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-07 I want to join the Microsoft Innovation Club because I enjoy learning new technologies and working on projects that have a real impact. Most of what I've learned so far has been through classes and personal practice, but I feel that being part of a community like MIC will help me learn much more by collaborating with others. I'm especially interested in attending workshops, hackathons, and technical sessions where I can improve my skills and get hands-on experience. I also think being around people who are passionate about technology will motivate me to keep learning and challenge myself. I may not know everything yet, but I'm willing to put in the effort, learn from others, and contribute wherever I can. I see MIC as a place where I can grow both technically and personally while being part of a team that enjoys building and innovating together. Work Together / Study Together Platform: A virtual co-working and co-studying platform where remote workers, college students, and JEE/NEET aspirants can join live focus rooms, find accountability partners, participate in Pomodoro sessions, track productivity, collaborate with like-minded people, and stay consistent through AI-powered insights and community challenges. Many students and remote workers struggle with procrastination, lack of accountability, and loneliness while studying or working from home. Existing video meeting tools are not designed to keep people focused or motivated. I would solve this by building a Work Together / Study Togetherplatform where users can join live focus rooms, get matched with accountability partners, use Pomodoro sessions, track their progress, and participate in community challenges. By creating a structured and motivating environment, the platform would help people stay consistent, improve productivity, and achiev Yes I am currently working in Outreach at CrftHQ, where I help build partnerships, connect with students and communities, and drive user growth. 24 24 1st Preference Harshit Shekhar Modi 26BCE1928 1st Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-11 It is the best place to turn raw ideas into real action. I want to build a strong network with like-minded peers, learn from real startup founders, and gain hands-on experience in business creation and event management. To be honest, I don't have a specific startup idea that I'm actively working on right now. My main focus has been on building strong core skills and solving immediate, real-world problems in my current projects. A massive problem in my area is that there is absolutely nowhere for young people to just hang out without being forced to spend money. If my friends and I want to chill, study, or collaborate on a project, our only options are loud, overpriced cafes where staff stare you down if you don't buy a ₹300 coffee every hour, or sitting outside on a curb in the heat. 25 25 1st Preference Hitarth Vijaybhai Bhoraniya 26BDS1201 1st Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-12 for learn new things Yes. One idea I’ve thought about is an AI “chief of staff” for small businesses: it connects to email, calendars, CRM, and messaging, then turns scattered information into concrete actions—following up with leads, preparing meeting briefs, spotting overdue tasks, and reminding the owner what actually needs attention. The key differentiation would be proactive execution rather than another chatbot: it doesn’t just answer “what should I do?”; it notices what needs doing and handles the routine parts automatically, while asking for approval on anything consequentia. A common campus problem is that students miss opportunities like internships, events, part-time jobs, and useful services because information is scattered across WhatsApp groups and social media. I would solve this with a verified campus platform that brings all these opportunities into one easy-to-use place. No I worked as a team member, helping with research, idea development, and execution. I learned how to solve problems creatively, communicate effectively, and turn ideas into practical solutions. Importantly meet new people get connected as i was a total introverted guy in school! When i came to college and attented the club expo my top priority was to enroll in MIC, bcoz i have heard about this club from many of my seniors giving positive feedbacks! I hope the best from your side! I usually notice things sharply and that makes me think of some better alternative and give me many startups! One reason to join VIT is to pitch one of my best start up idea which i have not talked to anyone! Bcoz it is not done by any indian and only 2 in whole world that to just testing that product! As being an entrepreneur, i love taking risks bcoz that helps me learn from my mistakes and take better actions! I don’t have as such experience in entrepreneurship but i do see most of the episodes in shark tank and also i am from a business background so i do know the liquidity of markets! I am working currently on an entrepreneurial idea combining various banquet industries into a single application thereby showcasing my entrepreneurial thinking and technical skills! Being a fresher i am not sure that i would guide anyone but i will totally give my sweat off to benefit this club! The toygaroo, pitched in shark tank that had a failure in execution! It could have targeted on some expensive high-end educational toys instead of some plastics! And also drop the idea of free shipping I don’t know the process within the community, in what ways i can help but i am sure whatever task you give me will be done! It’s not over-confidence, it’s just a simple self-confidence i have and also i am quick-learner which helps me grasping things faster and also use my own thinking ability! 27 27 1st Preference Ishita Mishra 25BCE5543 2nd Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-12 Like every other student, joining Microsoft someday is a dream of mine. But what makes my aspiration different is my willingness to constantly learn, adapt, and grow. Just like Microsoft’s vision to “empower every person and every organisation on the planet to achieve more.” , I feel like MIC being one of the most renowned technical clubs at VIT Chennai is the perfect platform for me to explore, challenge myself, and contribute. I want to embrace that vision, learn from this community, and make the most of every opportunity to grow and create an impact I’ve always wanted to combine my love for children, technology, and education. As the sister of an 8-year-old, I’ve experimented with building fun learning games using her avatar, which she is very fond of. My idea is an interactive learning app where children create their own avatars and learn through challenges and rewards. Instead of seeing technology as a distraction, I want to turn it into a tool for engaging and personalised learning. I’m still refining the idea, and I believe MIC’s Entrepreneurship Department can help me turn it into something impactful. To me, a true entrepreneur is someone who creates value not just for themselves, but for the community. One issue that deeply concerns me is poverty, especially children who grow up without opportunities to pursue their dreams. I dream of empowering an NGO that provides these children with a safe environment to learn, grow, and discover their potential. As the youth of India, I believe it is our responsibility to help build the next generation of dreamers, innovators, and leaders. Yes As an IB business student, I have been deeply interested in technology and business since high school. During my break before college, I worked as a student researcher at a Microsoft-powered cloud startup called The Cloud Factory in Mauritius, where my supervisor introduced me to the potential of LLMs and how different models can be evaluated and compared. This experience taught me a great deal and strengthened my ambition to build a business of my own someday. Moderate — I understand the basics

29 1st Preference Jaivin Jaiswal 26BQC1036 1st Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-04 On the club expo day when I visited the stall of MIC club . I really like that how passionate peoples are there in the club . I can clear see the dedication they are putting in while briefing me about what clubs do and it really excited me to be the part of this club , I am also a person who is dedicated towards their goal and I want to collaborate with the members who share similar fire . I haven't really worked on any ideas yet because right now there is no proper guidance with me to learn about it . There is an idea from the start when I started getting interest in entrepreneurship ( the idea is to build an AI agent which is extremely good at higher math's , Logic , risk management , analyse the market Trend for customer in deep . Find the perfect stocks for the client to invest in it to get a good return in future. Making extremely valuable prediction which can help the client gaining edge over others on the stock market , predicting what stocks will go up or down ) Problem - we all know how humid is Chennai weather , nobody likes a cloth when it gets wet with sweat . And the marks of sweat gets on clothes Solution - I introduce a type of new clothes which has good size of breathable pores so that air can pass on with that the product I build features 3 small small fans weighs less then 5g/each . Two on front on backside. And a good thing about these fans these are rechargable fans you can charge them on night . And you can use easily use fans for 3 hours No Beginner — I'm learning
30 1st Preference Jaya Ram Ts 25BCE5614 2nd Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-09 because I’m interested in entrepreneurship and want to learn how ideas are turned into real products and businesses. I believe MIC will help me develop my problem-solving, leadership, and innovation skills while learning from like-minded people. I’ve thought about building an AI-powered platform that helps students find internships, projects, and learning resources based on their skills and interests. The goal is to make career opportunities more accessible and personalized for students. One problem I’ve noticed is that many students miss out on opportunities like internships, workshops, and competitions because information is scattered across different platforms. I would solve this by creating a centralized platform where students can easily discover and track relevant opportunities in one place. 33 33 1st Preference Jiyan Saket Lad 25BCE1159 2nd Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-04 I want to join the club for networking and professional growth. By participating in events of the club I want to sharpen my leadership skills and develop my soft skills. I want to join the Entrepreneurship department because building great technology is only half the battle; knowing how to commercialize, pitch, and scale it is what creates real-world impact. No prior experience. Being a member of this department will help me bridge the gap between technical knowledge and business execution. I will gain practical insights into startup funding, go-to-market strategies, and product management, while transforming my creative ideas into market-ready realities. SpoonRocket failed because it scaled a vertically integrated food delivery model too fast with thin margins and high overhead. I bring strong organization, creative problem-solving, and a dedication to helping our team turn ambitious plans into successful, memorable events. 34 34 1st Preference Kaavya Vinayaka 26BAI1333 1st Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-10 I want to join the Microsoft Innovations Club because the idea of turning a simple thought into something real genuinely excites me! I’m interested in entrepreneurship and hope to explore it as a career in the future, so I want to start understanding what it actually takes to build something from the ground up. I think the club would be a great environment to explore these ideas, meet people with different perspectives, and learn through actually doing things. As a fresher, I’m excited to brainstorm, experiment, contribute my own ideas, and see where they can take me! One startup idea I’ve explored with my dad is a ride and assistance service for children and their parents. It started as a way to help busy parents manage their children’s travel, but we kept adding ideas—like pre-approving a budget for a birthday gift, an outing, or even an unexpected McDonald’s stop. The goal is to give children more independence while keeping parents involved and in control. I think it would be exciting to explore how technology could make this convenient, trustworthy, and safe. One problem I’ve noticed on campus is that important events often get lost among the constant stream of emails and announcements. I think a dedicated events platform could bring everything into one place, with filters based on students’ interests. Students could accept or decline events, see which friends are attending, and get personalized recommendations—for example, more tech or cultural events based on their preferences. This would make it easier to discover events they actually want to attend without having to dig through endless emails. No Beginner — I'm learning
35 1st Preference Krishna Garg 25BCE5584 2nd Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-09 I want to join the club because I feel it’ll be a good way to learn new things, meet new people, and get involved in something outside academics. I’d also like to explore my interests, improve my skills, and contribute wherever I can. I’m interested in education, but I don’t want to approach it in the traditional way. My idea is to make learning more personalized and practical, based on a student’s interests, strengths, and career goals. I’m still exploring the idea and figuring out the exact model, but I’d like to work on something that makes learning more engaging and actually useful for students. One problem I’ve noticed is that people often spend a lot of time and money on things they only need occasionally, like tools, sports equipment, or small appliances. I’d solve this by creating a community-based rental system where people can borrow such items for a small fee instead of buying them.By this student you bought the thing can also recover his/her money back and the other one is getting the same thing for lesser price. 36 36 1st Preference Lavish Chutani 25BME1023 2nd Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-11 Its one of the most interesting clubs in the campus,i would love to share me experience and interests while learning and growing with such a crowd I am a Co-Founder of Sentrix Robotics Pvt. We are working on next-generation robotics and machine-perception technologies, with applications across industrial, agricultural, and other high-impact domains. Our work includes developing collaborative robotic systems and technologies such as GloveXR, aimed at enabling machines to better understand and interact with the physical world. I had a problem statement which is there exists no such interactive gaming platform exclusive for college students, the problem it would solve is of socialising amongst peers. A free website & app gaming platform with multiple games, verification before logging in with college id,Playlist and music sharing tabs like equals. Now in these multiple games you can play with people while you talk to them ,its very easy to find such games plus it will also be a very clean place for people to find dates(not the sole purpose tho). This is a interesting idea so i though i would share without boring you. Yes I started as a mechanical intern worked on various products, have experience with so many up and down with the company, then i got employed as company and my future goals and ideas matched. Now i am a board member/co-founder.After working in mechanical i am learning and getting itno ai and other software stuff. I've already tried a few things ran a small business making wedding and event invitation cards, and dabbled in YouTube automation. I keep a notebook of ideas with real potential, sitting at 13-15 right now. I believe we become like the people we surround ourselves with. MIC feels like the fastest way to find those people ones who think the same way and can give me real advice, not guesswork. Yeah, main 2 are a videocalling app and fitness app, In the videocalling apps there a key feature i thought I was missing ,when I faced that issue I thought to my self a better way to fix that and same for the fitness app I tried getting my grandparents into fitness so it's in that domain fitness app for the elderly Market gap in fitness for elderly Yes Importance or research on field, better communication skills beat all other skills in entrepreneurship Moderate — I understand the basics

I also want to work on real projects and like to interact with students who have similar interests. I believe MIC will help me improve my technical and problem-solving skills while giving me practical experience beyond academics. Yes. I have an idea to create "naturally coloured wood products" using a vacuum-based process. The goal is to give wood unique and attractive colours in a more sustainable way. I’m interested in exploring how this idea can be improved and turned into a useful product. A problem I have noticed in my community is the "large amount of waste from coconut trees and sugarcane after harvesting". Most of it is thrown away or burned. I would collect this waste at a low cost and turn it into useful products like compost or eco-friendly materials. This can reduce waste and also create a source of income. 39 39 1st Preference Madhav Manoj Premja 25BRS1233 2nd Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-08 I'm already involved with E-Cell VIT Chennai on the Startup and Innovation team, and I currently work as a Content Strategy & Research Associate at CrftHQ, plus Sales and Marketing at Admrls. So I've been around startups and building things for a while now, but mostly from the content/marketing side. What excites me about the Entrepreneurship part of MIC is getting closer to the actual building part, not just writing about it or promoting it after the fact. I like being in rooms where ideas are still messy and nothing's been figured out yet, that's usually where the real learning happens. I'm looking forward to working with people who are actually trying to build something from scratch, seeing how they think through problems, and hopefully bringing what I've picked up from marketing and content into that mix in a way that's actually useful, not just another voice in the room. Not currently Problem Digital friction kills focus. When studying or coding, breaking away to hunt down windows, tweak audio, or dig through menus shatters your flow state. Solution A tactile interface mapped to your most disruptive background tasks. Instead of clicking around, you rely on muscle memory to control your workspace without looking away. I have an idea make automatic drones which can be used to deliver items and make the process faster and easier . We can place a face scanner to identify the purchaser. We should install all the data about the area into the drone in a compact manner. I have faced language issues in campus as VIT is a multi cultural campus where students around india come to study here. 42 42 1st Preference Meghna Ravikumar 24BAI1134 3rd Year In-progress Not Submitted warning, long response ahead. (usually i’m a stickler for punctuation and grammar, but i wanna prove that this is indeed typed out by a human, so here goes…) phew, where do i even start? growing up, i was an extremely avid reader. (yes, really. I decimated deathly hallows in two hours on my first read in fifth grade). clubs, student orgs, fraternities, societies were this huge deal in books and stories that i read and movies i watched. (harry potter, mallory towers, st clare’s, spiderman hc, gilmore girls, etc) from participating in competitions, to club meetings, staying back after classes for and conducting and taking part in events, to that elusive camaraderie that could only be found by being a part of something bigger than yourself. unfortunately, none of that existed in my school and i’d given up on finding my people or being part of (just like i’d given up on getting a high-school sweetheart)(lol i’m not crying you are T-T) my first year as a hosteller, i’d seen the fresher’s club expo during a break between my classes. I didn’t get much of a chance to see all the clubs and i’d frantically typed out the names of a few clubs. as someone who was chronically offline (i’ve worked on changing that) and as a blissfully ignorant wide-eyed fresher, i missed most of the events on campus including recruitments for some of the biggest clubs. (damn, you’re really reading all this, huh?) i wanted to be a part of a community that was focused on learning, improving, coming together to create something meaningful, etc. i wanna grow along with people and help others grow too while accomplishing something tangible together. (can you tell this means a lot to me?) cut to my second year as a day-scholar, i remember looking at the entrepreneurship department and wanting to apply. I’d definitely heard of mic by then, and how it was one of the best clubs on campus (‘nuff said). unfortunately, i missed recruitments for mic in my second year too due to a series of unfortunate events in my personal life. by the time third year rolled around, i’d given up on trying to find my tribe (i’d already given up on getting a bf 2 years prior) most people don’t join a club in their third year, and rarely do clubs open recruitments for third years. i’d missed remics this year due to placement training and i’d hated my luck a lil bit. just as i was about to give up on my dreams of the ‘club life’, i saw that the mic recruitments were open to 3rd years too this year. when i saw the recruitment website this time around (thankfully), i gasped a lil in surprise. i was literally working on a eerily similar approach to the flappy bird for my own personal portfolio. i feel it’s meant to be this time around. (are you actually still reading this?) with the cat exams hanging over my head as i type this response out on my laptop, battling a cold, i really wanna get into mic and be part of the best club on campus ;) i’m the type of person where, if i decide i wanna go all in, i go ALL in. i‘d wanna be a part of the club and help organize events, work on the behind-the-scenes stuff, find sponsors, sit around and talk with my new-found friends, work with my fellow club members, collaborate, and find some of that camaraderie i’ve been missing all my life. i’m really looking forward to being a part of the club. compared to the other clubs i’ve been part of, mic seems like an active, genuinely nice club with amazing talented people, and like a place where people can grow and contribute to the growth of the club as well. and i really feel that mic is gonna be just the place for me to do all that. perhaps due to all the reading in my youth, i’ve fancied myself as a bit of a storyteller. i didn’t wanna spew out some ai generated bs (pardon my french) and i’m way past pretending that “this aligns with my interests and gives me the platform to… ” yada yada. at the very least, i hope i’ve made an impression on you (even if it’s for the sheer length of my answer). hope this was fun to read and gave you some insight into the person behind the screen :) this is me, meghna ravikumar, shooting my shot and signing off.

A platform that analyzes a student's resume, GitHub, LinkedIn, coursework, and interests to identify missing skills for their dream career. It generates a personalized roadmap, recommends projects, internships, hackathons, and mentors, acting as an Al career strategist rather than just another learning platform. Problem: Students don't know when their laundry will be ready, can't track its status, and have no visibility if clothes go missing Solution: Introduce a QR/token-based laundry tracking system where every order is assigned a unique QR code or token. 47 47 1st Preference Rs Mughilan 26BEC1626 1st Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-04 I want to join the Microsoft Innovation Club because I love turning ideas into functional technology. While college teaches us the fundamentals, MIC provides the collaborative ecosystem, tools, and mentorship needed to build real-world projects and participate in hackathons. I want to challenge myself, build innovative solutions, and learn alongside a passionate community of creators. An AI-powered study companion app designed specifically for university students. How it works: Users upload their lecture slides, notes, or textbooks, and the app automatically generates personalized flashcards, summary sheets, and practice quizzes. It also uses spaced-repetition algorithms to send daily study reminders based on when the student is most likely to forget the material. The Problem: There are dozens of clubs on campus hosting amazing workshops and hackathons, but information is scattered across Discord, Instagram, and physical flyers. Students miss out because they simply don't know events are happening The Solution: A central "Campus Pulse" dashboard. It uses a simple tag-based recommendation system. Students select their interests (e.g., Coding, Art, Marketing), and the platform generates a unified, personalized calendar. It can even suggest teams for hackathons based on complementary skill sets. No Moderate — I understand the basics
48 1st Preference Sai Sriram N 26BCE5059 1st Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-12 I feel this club would offer the most exposure i would ever find on technical and non technical fields , meeting so many talented people , getting to learn so much from them , i feel this club would provide the most fuel for my curiosity and that the learnings i could get from this club would be endless. I am hungry to learn and master new skills and this is my perfect opportunity . I have a startup idea about running a late night dorm to dorm catering service , where students get access to snacks and eatables . If they urgently need a printout or xerox , they could rely on this service for all these needs. The main problem i have faced in the vit chennai campus is the constant crowd near lifts and having to wait so long to go up a few floors .. The best solution for this would be adding escalators as the user doesn't have the physical strain of climbing the stairs and at the same time there would hardly be any crowing as there will be a constant flow of the crowd on top of which the user needn't wait for so long just to go up or down a few floors . Yes My father runs his own software company so this gives me great exposure to learn new stuff as i have the liberty to frequently visit his office and understand the procedure of how things are done . In his last order with Shri Ram Chits , i understood that his company's role was to design a software to simplify the query of the customer addressed to shri ram chits . 50 50 1st Preference Shamani Paul 26BDS1171 1st Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-05 MIC would give me opportunities to innovate, challenge myself and learn from experienced mentors. im eager to gain practical exposure to entrepreneurship by working on tech projects im interested in joining entrepreneurship because it allows me to be creative in my domain and turn ideas into solutions. i enjoy identifying problems , thinking creatively and finding innovative ways to solve them. During school i worked on several entrepreneurship based projects where i developed product ideas, one of them was a popsicle based company which gained a lot of positive responses. Apart from that, i have also worked on tech ideas. Being a part of entrepreneurship department will help me develop the practical skills needed to turn ideas into impactful ventures. I wish to collaborate with like minded individual and gain exposure to the startup ecosystem. Being in that environment i hope to escalate my ideas into an actual startup The startup idea was to develop an affordable, compact system that combines plastic detection/sorting and brick production into one solution for small communities, making recycling more accessible and reducing landfill waste. I believe it had potential because india still struggles in waste management. This idea couldn't succeed in execution because i failed to build the prototype. If i get a chance I would get comfortable with tech first and then build the prototype. I am open to learning, open to new opportunities. Being an extrovert I am easy to approach and free to speak. 52 52 1st Preference Sree Parvathi M S 25MID1166 2nd Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-11 I want to join the Entrepreneurship Department of the Microsoft Innovation Club to further explore my interest in turning ideas into products with real-world impact. My journey began with SIH 2022 and continued through Elan & nVision, IIT Hyderabad 2023, and Techfest, IIT Bombay 2024. During these hackathons, my key role was presenting our ideas and effectively communicating their significance, while also contributing to product refinement, competitor research, product-market fit, and identifying our product’s USP. During high school, I also worked as a strategist at Jezh Technologies, which gave me an early opportunity to explore the startup environment. Beyond hackathons, I led cohorts of 200+ students through my Student Council experience and participated in MUNs, receiving Top Mention and Special Mention 3 times. These experiences strengthened my leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, and I hope to bring these strengths to the Entrepreneurship Department while learning how to turn innovative ideas into impactful stuff. I am not currently working on a new startup idea, but I have previously been deeply involved in product ideation and development through various innovation projects. These experiences have sparked my interest in entrepreneurship, and I am currently exploring problems and opportunities that could potentially develop into a meaningful product. One simple but potentially impactful problem I have noticed is the unpredictability of food preparation and demand in college canteens. While some students eat there regularly, others visit occasionally, making it difficult for canteens to anticipate demand and manage preparation efficiently. I have personally spent over 30 minutes waiting for food, even though ideally not more than 10 minutes should be spent waiting. I would explore a prepaid meal-subscription system where regular students can pre-book meals for specific time slots, giving the canteen better visibility of expected demand whil Yes Working with 2 startups during my higher secondary years taught me how to structure and communicate ideas clearly, give proper descriptions of products, and collaborate with people who were technically involved in building them. Even though I was not deeply versed in the technical side, working alongside technical teams gave me valuable exposure to how ideas translate into actual products and made the experience highly educational. 54 54 1st Preference Srusty B 26BCE1511 1st Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-12 I want to join MIC because I’m interested in technology and want to learn more about it while being part of a creative and collaborative team. I also want to improve my management, communication, and teamwork skills by contributing to the club’s activities and events. I have thought about starting a service-based business focused on creating customized experiences based on people’s needs, preferences and interests. It’s still just an idea for now, but i would love to explore more and work on it. One problem I have noticed is the limited flexibility in our hostel laundry system, as laundry can only be given on a particular day every week. Sometimes, it is not convenient for students to give their laundry on the assigned day, or they may want to give it earlier. A simple app or website where students can book suitable slots on different days throughout the week could make the process more convenient, organized, and comfortable. It could also help manage the workload better and reduce the waiting time for students. No Beginner — I'm learning
55 1st Preference Syed Mohammed Muzakkir 25BCE1522 2nd Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-06 I attended ReMICs, and it really motivated me to become a part of the MIC Entrepreneurship Cell. If given the chance, I'll give my best. I am interested as I know it will help me grow and I have a little interest in entrepreneurship. No, but I will one day be well versed with them. I will try to take as much knowledge I can get from the department and try to setup my own when I can. Not a startup idea, but I believe tata nano had might have ended in a brighter future if it would have been marketed as a better form of two wheeler rather than the least form of 4 wheeler. It would have made people compare it to their scooters and bikes rather than the cars they never had. I might not have any experience regarding entrepreneurship but I hope to give my best efforts for the betterment of the community and play a vital role in the department. Yes, I agree Yes, I agree Yes, I agree To be honest I don't watch shark tank( hope it doesn't affect my decision). But I would be one who would look upon the finances of a product,as I believe they are the most important part.
56 1st Preference Tarang Gupta 25BCE5383 2nd Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-12 I would like to join the Microsoft Innovation Club because I’m genuinely interested in technology and exploring new ideas. I’ve also heard that the club is really good and provides a great environment to learn, build, and meet like-minded people. I’d like to be part of that experience and improve my skills along the way. I’m thinking of a platform where students can connect with other students who are good at a particular skill they want to learn. For example, if someone wants to learn coding, video editing, Figma, photography, or public speaking, they can find a student who already knows it and learn directly from them. It would also give skilled students a way to earn while helping others. A common problem on campus is that students want to learn practical skills but often don’t know whom to approach or have to depend on expensive courses and random online tutorials. At the same time, many students already have useful skills but don’t have a way to share or earn from them. I would solve this by creating a platform that connects students based on the skills they want to learn and the skills they can teach, making learning more accessible while creating opportunities for students to earn. 57 57 1st Preference TEJAS K.R 25BCE1974 2nd Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-04 I want to become a part of MIC because it is the club which allows the students to discuss their ideas to create and build solution based on the real world problems. Also it allows me to learn more about Entrepreneurship. Along with this I could understand the different views of people on the same idea and multiple possible outcomes. Besides this I will be able to develop my Entrepreneurship skills with creative people and leaders. I am interested in joining Entrepreneurship Department because I like to identify real world problems and find ways to solve them. I believe that this is a skill which finds solution to problems which is developed by observing real world problems. I want to learn about innovation, idea validation and different solutions for the same problem. I would like to explore different views of people on the same idea and understand and learn from experienced people which will help me develop my skill. No, I do not have any prior experience with entrepreneurship, startups or any other field. However, I am very enthusiastic to learn how innovative ideas are turned into startups, what are all the initial steps, what all to be calculated other than business strategy, market competitors, customer interests. I see MIC as an opportunity to gain experience on all these topics from my mentors and like minded people. Being a part of entrepreneurship department I want develop my skills which will help me turn ideas into solutions. I believe that this department will change the way I approach an idea. It will also help me in calculating potential risks, scalability, market capital potential and so. It may also help me identify why there is monopoly in many business areas and how to stand unique. By all this my perspective will be broaden and help me build and grow. I believe Dunzo had a great idea but could not execute it properly. It solved a real world problem by making local deliveries fast and convenient. It had gained popularity, but failed because of rapid expansion without tracing customer repeat value and without identify the key areas and just expanding everywhere. Because of this there was no certainity of the customers and so its operations struggled. If I were to make changes I would have prioritized only key arears in important metropolitan cities before expanding it everywhere. I would have retained my customer and would have maintained a high customer repeat value. I would have collaborated with local stores by proposing a win-win situation and would have made long term contracts, so that trust increases. By this if there is someone in competition by copying this business model, then that would not be a problem as we are good allies. I believe I can contribute by being curious, dependable and the one willing to take initiative. I would enjoy working by collaborating and support team events and can come up with different ideas so as to reach more people. My goal is not only to grow individually but also to help create an impact for our MIC community. Yes, I agree Yes, I agree Yes, I agree I would like to choose Peyush Bansal. His approach towards investing is not just based on numbers, instead he believes that a passionate founder can build something great if guided and funded properly. I strongly support this ideology of his. I believe his vision of execution is more important than innovation. He believes in refining a founder's vision rather than just focusing on returns. If I were a shark, I would adopt similar features and approach which includes believing and investing in capable founder. Investing by splitting the capital across several promising startups.

I've been thinking about an AI-based platform that helps students and beginners validate their startup ideas. Instead of just giving feedback, it analyzes the idea, points out possible problems, suggests improvements, and helps users understand whether it's worth pursuing. One problem I see on campus is that many students have good project or startup ideas but don't know where to find teammates or mentors. I would create a simple platform where students can post ideas, find collaborators based on skills, and connect with mentors. This would encourage more students to build and launch their ideas. I am sure I will learn a lot from the experiences and guidance MIC provides at the same time have fun throughout my journey here. An Academic Tracker A software that tracks your academic progress. So a student jumps between so many platforms to study. Be it courses on Coursera and Udemy, a daily LeetCode challenge, or even daily college lectures. Instead of visiting every website and application to track what you've done that day, this software does all that for you. It shows you the concepts you've learnt, the daily tasks you've completed, and the pending tasks you still have to do. It also helps you further by preparing short notes for the topics you've learnt and conducts daily tests to track your progress. During a short 5- or 10-minute break between classes. The food stalls in our college are crowded, making it hard to get our items and get to class on time. This is hard, especially for students who skipped a meal and have to go to a different block to attend class. So I am suggesting an app that orders the food from the given stall and schedules a 5- or 10-minute window to collect your order so that the food is already ready and packed by the time you reach the stall. I believe I can contribute fresh ideas, stay calm under pressure, and ensure that events are executed smoothly and effectively. Water pollution is often detected too late, especially when harmful waste enters water bodies. I would develop a low-cost smart monitoring system that continuously checks water quality and sends real-time alerts when pollution levels become unsafe. Hospitals often face long waiting times, overcrowding, and difficulty managing patient information. I would create an integrated system for appointments, digital records, queue management, and department coordination to make healthcare faster and more efficient. 64 64 2nd Preference A Adlin Gnana Blessiha 26BRS1047 1st Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-04 Honestly, MIC’s energy at VIT Chennai is hard to miss. I really want to be part of a community where people actively push each other to grow and learn. Joining MIC gives me the chance to team up with ambitious peers, get involved in events like workshops and hackathons, and sharpen my technical skills along the way I’m obsessed with music and anything cute and fluffy, so my startup idea is an interactive music discovery app centered around a virtual plushie pet. The concept is simple: as you listen to music on Spotify, your cute virtual companion reacts, changes moods, and grows based on your listening habits and at what time of the day it reads your mood swings in music from repeated observation— getting cozy during chill lo-fi sessions or gaining energy when you play upbeat tracks. Mess food wastage is one of the big problems. 65 65 2nd Preference Aarav Arora 26BCE1889 1st Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-12 When I was looking for clubs to join at VITC, I stumbled upon MIC and it instantly caught my attention for many reasons. For example I was impressed by how the club functions, the opportunities that are offered that enable you to learn so much more beyond your curriculum and most importantly working on projects that teach you how to grow not only as a problem solver but also as an individual. Apart from this, I also hope to learn how to work efficiently in professional settings for which this club seems like a perfect fit, with all these features combined and my passion to learn, practice and gain experience, will give me a great chance to make meaningful contributions to the club while continuously improving myself. I have been exploring an idea for a baby-care app that could eventually grow into a larger baby-care brand. The initial phase would focus on building useful software and an online platform that parents can regularly use and become familiar with. Once the software has an established user base and the concept is validated, the long-term vision would be to introduce physical baby-care products that are designed to work alongside the software, creating a connected ecosystem rather than just selling standalone products. Most campus issues have dedicated platforms, but hostel and mess-related issues are still handled through student-to-warden communication and discussed only monthly, causing smaller problems to go unnoticed. A daily feedback system could ensure accountability for food, cleanliness and ambience. Another issue is outing permissions, where students explain the same reason separately to the proctor and hostel office. A common platform connecting students, parents, proctors and the hostel office could simplify communication and make the process faster. No Beginner — I'm learning
66 2nd Preference Abhinav Krish Bathe Venkatesh Babu 26BQC1030 1st Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-07 I built digital tools and studied many different systems to prepare for my computer science degree. With my startup, QuietStudio, I created many different digital tools and templates that used various technologies to put my ideas into reality for many users to use. I developed AI memory systems while conducting my research. And also wrote a paper that introduces Sparse Confident Tensor Memory, which is about language model memory limitations and retrieval consistency. The lessons I gained from these experiences enhanced my ability to analyze problems, research skills, and academic discipline, Capture is an app that solves your storage problems, it is a second brain and a hum for your digital life and memories, those times where you have your data in so many different platforms or you have so much data and cant find the right file. Capture solves these problems by letting you search based on what you remember and combine all your data into one synced platform. I created the first official app for the AFS India Regional Meet held in my school. I created an app which helped more than 200 international users to handle their scheduling, communication needs, and event management tasks during the event. Before the app, organizers relied on many different outdated systems to run the event, which led to confusion and repeated queries. The app was able to centralize all the information needed for the event in one place, which solved those problems. Yes This experience showed me the importance of meeting deadlines and handling users in a live setting. I used respect as a priority in my work because I wanted to understand user requirements and design an intuitive interface that would be easily accessible to all users. In my opinion, refining my work is a constant journey, and as I gained feedback from different users and experts, I use that to keep improving my work to the best of my abilities. 68 68 2nd Preference Andrea Janice E 25BAI1301 2nd Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-07 Wanna improve my technical skill I have been thinking about building an AI-powered smart parking platform that helps drivers find available parking spaces in real time using computer vision and sensor data. The platform could reduce traffic congestion, save fuel, and make parking more efficient in busy areas such as colleges, malls, and cities. I believe it has the potential to grow into a scalable solution for smart cities. One problem I have noticed is the difficulty of finding available parking spaces during peak hours. This leads to wasted time, unnecessary traffic, and fuel consumption. I would solve this by developing an AI-powered smart parking system that uses cameras or sensors to detect vacant parking spots in real time and guides users to the nearest available space through a mobile app. This would make parking faster, reduce congestion, and improve the overall campus experience. 69 69 2nd Preference Ankur Singh 25BDS1060 2nd Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-07 As someone who enjoys solving problems and continuously improving my technical skills, I see MIC as a place where I can apply my problem-solving abilities to real-world projects. I want to learn modern technologies, collaborate with passionate developers, participate in impactful initiatives and contribute to a culture of innovation while growing both technically and professionally. One idea I've thought about is a smart waste management solution for campuses and public spaces. The system would use IoT-enabled smart bins to monitor fill levels, detect air quality around the bin, and notify maintenance staff when collection is needed. Along with reducing unnecessary collection trips, the platform could provide analytics on waste generation patterns to help institutions optimize waste management and improve cleanliness. I believe this idea has the potential to combine sustainability with technology while addressing a real-world problem. One problem I've noticed is inefficient waste management on campuses. Dustbins are often either overflowing before they're emptied or collected when they're only partially filled, leading to hygiene issues and unnecessary maintenance effort. I would address this by developing a smart waste management system with IoT-enabled bins that monitor fill levels and notify maintenance staff only when collection is required. The system could also provide analytics on waste generation patterns, helping the campus optimize collection schedules, reduce operational costs, and maintain a cleaner environment. Instead of just answering questions, it would analyze a student's learning style, track progress, generate personalized study plans, create quizzes from notes, and identify weak topics. The goal is to make studying more organized and personalized rather than relying on one-size-fits-all learning resources. I haven't started building it yet, but it's a project I'd like to work on in the future because I think it could genuinely help students manage their studies better. One problem I've noticed is that students often miss opportunities like hackathons, workshops, internships, or club events because information is scattered across different WhatsApp groups, emails, and social media pages. It becomes difficult to keep track of everything. I think a simple solution would be a centralized student platform where all opportunities are listed in one place with filters, reminders, and personalized recommendations based on a student's interests. This would help students stay informed and encourage more participation in technical events and skill-building activities. No Beginner — I'm learning

(p.s i am from aiml batch) I don't have a startup yet (you know JEE and all ) but I'd love to build one in the future. One idea I've thought about is an AI-powered learning platform that creates personalized study plans, explains concepts based on a student's learning style, and tracks progress. The goal would be to make learning more effective and less stressful for students. One thing I've noticed is that a lot of food gets wasted in the college mess because many students don't show up for meals without informing anyone(I am one of them XD). I think this could be improved if students could simply mark in an app when they won't be eating. It would help the mess prepare the right amount of food, reduce waste, and any extra food could be donated safely through local organizations. 77 77 2nd Preference Dakshesh Samal 26BMH1134 1st Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-12 What excites me about MIC is the culture of active tinkering and taking bold ideas off paper into real-world projects. I’m naturally driven by innovation—specifically identifying everyday friction points, designing out-of-the-box solutions, and pushing past the standard theoretical limits. MIC provides the exact collaborative environment, hands-on ecosystem, and peer push I need to test assumptions fast, refine my ideas, and build products that solve meaningful problems. Problem: Lack of accessible, conveniently located EV charging infrastructure during natural vehicle dwell times. Solution: A dedicated EV charging station network integrated directly into high-footfall lifestyle hubs like malls and cafes, allowing EV owners to charge seamlessly while going about their day. Target Market: Urban EV owners, EV fleet drivers, and commercial venue owners looking to monetize parking spaces and boost customer dwell time. Problem: Gap in 1-on-1 project guidance from professors, leaving students struggling to grasp fundamental concepts, validate project ideas, and translate theory into real-world applications. Solution: A structured 1-on-1 mentorship framework where students get dedicated office-hour slots, guided research roadmaps, and direct feedback from faculty to refine core project ideas. Impact: Bridges the gap between classroom theory and practical execution, builds strong foundational skills, and raises the overall quality of campus innovation and research. Yes As the founder/lead behind my EV charging network concept, I pitched the idea, gathered early feedback, and researched infrastructure feasibility in Maharashtra. 80 80 2nd Preference Divya Priya R K 24BCE1128 3rd Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-09 I wanna colla I recently worked on a solar panel layout design system during Devshouse'26 hackathon. It uses a real satellite image of a rooftop based on its location. After the user marks the rooftop area, it calculates the roof area, performs real-time shadow analysis, and generates optimized solar panel placement. A judge who was an EPC owner was impressed and connected with me. After discussing the industry workflow, I’m implementing his suggestions and plan to launch it as a B2B service. Solar installation planning can be time-consuming because teams need to manually analyze rooftop area, shadows, panel placement, and other site conditions before proposing a solution. I identified an opportunity to automate this workflow using satellite imagery and computer vision. My solution would let users select their rooftop, automatically calculate its usable area and shadow conditions, and generate an optimized panel layout, reducing manual effort and making preliminary solar planning much faster. Yes I worked as a Software Engineer and AI Engineer at a startup associated with the VIT incubation cell. I learned how startups work beyond technology: reaching potential customers, making cold calls, understanding client requirements, and communicating solutions clearly. I was especially impressed by how the team adapted to changing requirements, managed client deliverables, and continuously improved their product. This taught me the importance of customer understanding, flexibility, and execution Beginner — I'm learning
81 2nd Preference Divyam Garg 26BYB1068 1st Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-12 I've been fascinated by computers and software from an early age. Whether it was exploring games, experimenting with editing, or simply being curious about how technology works, I've always enjoyed learning more. Being a part of my school's tech club and attending an Intel AI bootcamp in 10th grade further sparked my interest in AI. I want to join MIC because I want to explore AI by building real-world projects, learn from seniors, and work in areas like LLMs, computer vision and intelligent agents. As a fresher, I am excited to learn, improve my skills and contribute to the club however I can. I have thought of a study-planning tool for students.Students usually have to manage classes, assignments, quizzes, exams and other activities at the same time. The idea is to have one place where students can add their academic deadlines and get a simple daily or weekly plan. One problem I’ve noticed on campus is finding available parking spaces, especially when parking lots are spread across different areas. I would solve this with a system that shows real-time parking availability, helping students find the nearest available spot and reducing unnecessary congestion. No N/A Beginner — I'm learning
82 2nd Preference G Mithilesh 25BAI1641 2nd Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-11 I want to join MIC because I’m interested in technology, innovation, and building practical solutions. I’m excited to learn from like-minded students, work on real-world projects, and improve my technical and teamwork skills. I believe MIC would give me the opportunity to explore new ideas, contribute to impactful projects, and grow beyond the classroom. My startup idea is a parking rental platform that connects people who have unused parking spaces with people looking for parking. Users can list their available parking spaces, set their availability and rental price, while others can search, book, and pay for a suitable parking spot. The platform would help reduce parking difficulties, especially in crowded urban areas, while allowing parking-space owners to earn additional income. Finding affordable and convenient parking is a major problem in crowded areas, while many private parking spaces remain unused for several hours or days. I would solve this by creating a platform where parking-space owners can rent out their unused spaces and drivers can find and book nearby parking based on location, availability, and price. This would make parking more accessible and help owners generate income from unused space. No Very — I actively study and apply them
83 2nd Preference Gautham Nandula 25BAI1417 2nd Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-08 Seeing this website to get recruited inspired me a lot to join this club and learn with you guys.Even one day i want to learn how to make a good website like this. I thought of like having this cold wakeup napkins which have like skincare in them. So you like wake up and wipe your face with the napkin and you are feeling less drowsy and don't need to worry about your skin getting damaged. Its just too hot and sunny(which is bad for your skin) in this campus so I think the college should give out day umbrellas which are like a lighter colour that reflect light so they dont get that hot. You just basically have to scan your id card or write your name in a register just like the sports goods place. People will be less worried about the sun and not spoil their skin. 84 84 2nd Preference Goutham R 25BCE1644 2nd Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-12 I want to join MIC to gain practical exposure to innovation and entrepreneurship, work with like-minded students, participate in real-world projects and hackathons, and contribute my technical skills while developing my teamwork and leadership abilities. I’ve thought about a platform that helps college students turn everyday problems into practical startup ideas by connecting them with mentors, teammates, and resources. It’s still just an idea, but I’d like to explore it further. One important problem is food wastage on and around campus, especially from canteens and events. I would create a system that predicts food demand, tracks surplus food, and connects excess food with nearby NGOs or people in need. No NA Beginner — I'm learning
85 2nd Preference Hari Hara Sudhan S 26BEL1034 1st Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-07 I want to join MIC because I want to be around people who don’t just learn technology, but actually use it to build things. I’m particularly interested in AI, product building and entrepreneurship, and I want to develop the technical skills to turn my ideas into working projects. MIC’s workshops, hackathons and collaborative environment feel like the right place for me to learn from others, contribute to the team, and challenge myself to build things that create real impact. Yes. I am currently working on a startup idea which solves the commute problem of students who are commuting to their colleges and schools through public transport. One problem I’ve noticed on campus is that students often miss out on useful opportunities such as hackathons, workshops, competitions, internships, and club activities because information is scattered across different WhatsApp groups, Instagram pages, and other platforms. I would solve this by creating a centralised application or a SAAS thingy, and let students around the campus use it to discover these activities and where they are happening and every info on it. 86 86 2nd Preference Harshil Kapur 26BCE5173 1st Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-12 I want to join the Microsoft Innovation Club because I genuinely enjoy exploring technology and learning through hands-on experiences. During school, I was selected in the 1M1B (One Million for One Billion) Top 50 twice, which gave me the confidence to participate in competitions and think creatively while solving problems. That experience motivated me to keep learning and pushing myself beyond the classroom. I believe MIC is the perfect platform to work with passionate students, participate in hackathons, attend workshops, and build projects that create real impact. I’m eager to learn from others, contribute my ideas, and grow both technically and personally as a member of the club. Yes, I have a startup idea and I am currently working on its model. I have made a model using electromagnets in roads to prevent vehicles from crossing red lights. When an ambulance is detected in a lane using a camera and sound, the electromagnet in that lane switches off, allowing the ambulance to pass while other lanes remain stopped. I have also added GPS so the hospital can track the ambulance. This can reduce accidents, prevent unnecessary delays, and help save lives. Problem: Vehicles jumping red lights can cause accidents, while ambulances may get stuck at signals during emergencies. Solution: My model uses road-embedded electromagnets to stop vehicles at red lights. When an ambulance is detected in a lane, its electromagnet switches off so it can pass. Impact: Fewer accidents, less traffic delay, and a faster path for ambulances, potentially saving lives. No Moderate — I understand the basics
87 2nd Preference Ishan Sinha 25BEC1539 2nd Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-12 I want to join MIC because it will help me grow as a developer. MIC offers exposure to real-world challenges and solutions, along with the practices of large companies. Being with like-minded individuals will allow me to explore Computer Science more deeply and support my teammates. Guidance from experienced members will be crucial for my growth, providing not just a platform but a launchpad for my development journey. A Bucketlist creator: Where users would create their Bucketlist, and would set a timeline to achieve that goal. This would have 2 modes, Private and Public. A private bucketlist is the one which is only visible to the user. A public bucketlist would be the one which would be visible to everyone using the application. This would motivate the users, share their ideas and grow together. One very big problem that I have faced especially as an ECE student is that whenever our teachers ask us to do a project as a part of the course, I and my teammates are left helpless as the syllabus has just started and we actually do not know what projects are suitable for us, since many times a professor does not allow for a particular project. I would like to make an application, where people can share the projects they made for a particular course, how did they do it, what was the budget and would also add a comment section for questions and a rating for recommendations, for inspirations. Yes I have briefly worked with ECell and am a part of Prodinno, where I have learnt various different things crucial for entrepreneurship. My role was mostly research based, where I analysed the current market needs and what could be done. I was a part of 4 member team in an ECell organised competition where I analysed current stock market trends and also analysed what could be done to improve user experience. My analysis was mostly based on the stock brokerage firm, Zerodha. Beginner — I'm learning

As a first-year student, I want to learn new skills, work with different people, and get practical experience. I also feel MIC will help me improve my creativity, communication, and confidence while being part of a good team. Yes, I’ve thought about a startup idea that uses technology to solve everyday problems for students.I have an idea for a student-focused platform that solves the problem of finding affordable and convenient everyday services around colleges. The target market would mainly be college students, especially those staying in hostels or away from home. It’s still just an early-stage idea that I’d like to explore and develop with a team. One problem I’ve noticed at VIT Chennai is the long waiting time for lifts, especially during busy hours. Students sometimes end up taking the stairs even when they have to reach higher floors. I would like to explore a solution that helps manage lift usage and reduce waiting time, making movement around campus more convenient. No - Moderate — I understand the basics

90 2nd Preference Jayshikha V 26BCE5078 1st Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-12 I am very interested in product designing.I see MIC to be the opportunity to fulfill learning about product designing, website and application designing as well. I came across an idea from social media. The delivery people have to wait and the user's(receiver's) have to keep track of the delivery.Instead for the delivery people,we could create stacks where they would keep the order in the respective stack. And these stacks or cupboards can store food in all temperatures as food melting or not being hot enough is a major discomfort with people ordering online. That robotic machine will bring the Order to the receiver's place by itself.By this a lot of time could be saved. One of the problems that we face in a community/where a lot of people live is that the surrounding is always being used and is not clean.Hence an effective way to cut the waste being scattered would be to have civic sense. 92 92 2nd Preference Katyaini Kingshuk Nath 25BLC1284 2nd Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-08 My first year, I observed all the events MIC organized and even had the honour of participating in a few. From what I learnt, MIC encourages learning, growth and development. The thought of trying something new and having a platform to explore all the ideas that pop up in my head, is very exciting and I'm sure MIC will be the right step for it. Aegis Current voice assistants struggle in noisy environments or when multiple people speak at the same time. Important commands can be misunderstood, and emergency situations may be identified unreliably. Aegis uses audio processing, speaker separation, and AI to identify different speakers, isolate speech, understand commands, and detect emergency or distress keywords. This way the system responds more accurately even in noisy, multi speaker environments. Aegis was mainly thought with respect to smart homes, but it can be used in any environment where reliable voice interaction is important. One idea I’ve thought about is a smart campus management platform that uses IoT to improve the way college spaces and resources are managed. For example, classrooms could use occupancy sensors to provide real-time availability, help students find suitable rooms, and reduce unnecessary energy usage by automatically managing lights and fans. The platform could eventually expand to libraries, labs, parking, and other campus facilities, creating a centralized system for smarter campus management. No Beginner — I'm learning

95 2nd Preference M S Sreja 26BCE1806 1st Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-12 I discovered MIC during the Club Expo, and it immediately caught my attention because it aligns perfectly with my interest in technology and cybersecurity. I've always enjoyed learning new skills and challenging myself beyond academics, and I believe MIC provides the ideal environment to do that. I'm excited about exploring participating in technical and non-technical activities and learning from like-minded peers. I am eager to contribute my enthusiasm, curiosity, and willingness to learn while actively participating in the club's initiatives. One startup idea I've thought about is a privacy-protection platform for public figures such as celebrities, influencers, and high-profile individuals. The concept is to use facial recognition to identify subscribed users in photos before they are posted online. Instead of blocking uploads, the system could introduce a short delay before public posting, helping reduce the risk of real-time location exposure and unwanted crowding. The goal is to give public figures an additional layer of privacy and security while still allowing content to be shared. The service would operate through a subscrip > Problem: Students often waste time searching for available seats in crowded libraries and study spaces. Solution: Create a seat-tracking system where students mark occupied seats using a token, and the occupancy status is updated in a mobile app for real-time seat availability. Impact: This would save time, improve space utilization, and make studying more convenient for students. No Beginner — I'm learning

To improve my skills in AI, software development, and Microsoft technologies while continuously learning and challenging myself. To contribute creative ideas, take initiative, and build solutions that make a real impact. To be part of a community that encourages innovation, leadership, and continuous learning, helping me grow into a better engineer. I have thought about a student-focused platform that helps students find opportunities such as internships, competitions, workshops, and projects in one place. Many students miss valuable opportunities because information is scattered across different platforms. The idea is to create a simple ecosystem where students can discover opportunities, collaborate with peers, and learn from others with similar interests. I would like to explore how such a platform can make career growth and skill development more accessible for students. Problem: Students often miss workshops, competitions, internships, and campus opportunities because information is scattered across emails, groups, and different platforms. 97 97 2nd Preference Mithun Raj Sl 26BRS1030 1st Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-12 To get hands on experience and to learn something helpful for my future No, I don't currently have a startup idea that I'm actively working on. However, I'm interested in exploring ideas at the intersection of AI and real-world problems, and I would be excited to develop one through collaboration and hands-on experience. A problem I have noticed on campus is the manual tracking of sports equipment. Whenever a student takes equipment such as a football, basketball, or badminton racket, they have to write their details, the equipment taken, and the time in a physical register. This process can be time-consuming and makes it difficult to track equipment efficiently. I would solve this by creating a simple digital sports equipment management system. Students could scan a QR code or use a website/app to enter their student ID, select the equipment they are taking, and record the time automatically. No Beginner — I'm learning

99 2nd Preference Mohith Krishna Mahesh 25BCE5240 2nd Year In-progress Pending 2026-08-04 I want to join the Microsoft Innovation Club because I enjoy building things and learning from people who are passionate about technology. I'm especially interested in cybersecurity, particularly cryptography and OSINT, and I want to explore those interests through real projects and collaboration. I think being part of MIC will push me beyond what I can learn on my own while giving me the opportunity to contribute, share ideas, and grow with like-minded people. I'm interested in entrepreneurship because I enjoy building things from scratch and turning ideas into real products. I've learned that building a good product isn't just about writing code. It also means understanding users, validating ideas, making decisions, and working with a team. I want to learn from people who have experience in those areas and get a better understanding of what it takes to build and grow a startup. I don't have formal experience with venture capital, private equity, or business competitions yet. My experience comes from building products. I'm currently working on Ginger, a conversation-first dating app startup, where I've been involved in everything from product planning and technical development to thinking about user experience, growth, and long-term direction. Building it has made me interested in learning more about startups and entrepreneurship beyond the technical side. Ginger: https://gingerapp.in I want to learn how to turn an idea into a sustainable business. I'm interested in understanding things like product validation, fundraising, marketing, and how startups make strategic decisions. Being part of the Entrepreneurship department would also give me the chance to learn from people who have experience building startups and help me avoid mistakes I would otherwise make on my own. I think Supermemory has a great idea. Having an AI that remembers and retrieves everything you've seen or saved is genuinely useful, but I don't think the product is differentiated enough for most users. I'd focus more on making it part of people's everyday workflow through deeper integrations with browsers, messaging apps, and note-taking tools, while building features that are difficult to replicate with a typical AI or RAG setup. I think the long-term advantage should come from the user experience and ecosystem, not just the underlying AI. I enjoy building projects, learning new things, and sharing what I learn with others. I'll actively contribute to workshops, discussions, and team projects, and I hope to help create a community where people learn and build together. Yes, I agree Yes, I agree Yes, I agree I'd be Barbara. And for that reason... I'm out.
